Kristiansand International Children’s Film Festival (BFF) is Norway’s largest film festival aimed at children and youth (aged 3-19).

The festival takes place in the towns of Kristiansand, Arendal and Farsund, located in the beautiful Southern part of Norway.

The 28th edition of BFF will take place from the 5th of May to the 10th of May 2025.

Deadlines

We accept entries of short films, feature films and documentaries – both live action and animation, from all over the world. Note that we only accept films with first official screening date after January 1st, 2024.

  • Main entry deadline: January 1st, 2025.
  • Deadline for Norwegian short films: 1st of February 2025. Films completed in 2024/2025.

We prefer online or downloadable screeners.

We ask you to send us a screener first. The screener is a copy of the film we will be using during the selection process. The screener must be subtitled in English.

When your film is selected for the festival we will ask you to send us a master. The master is the copy we will use for projecting your film on the big screen.
